The Dolmabahce Palace is located along the European shore of the Bosphorus Strait. Originally there was a shallow bay where the Ottoman fleet used to anchor their ships. After the 17th century the coast was filled in and converted into a nice garden with a couple of pavilions named as Besiktas Waterfront Palace complex, where the sultans used to relax enjoying the views.

The Museum’s Permanent Collection is housed on the Upper Floor Galleries. In order to create interesting alternatives for visitors to interpret and relate to the artworks on display, they are rotated and grouped according to different themes every year.
The Museum’s educational programs are designed to enhance awareness and appreciation of the artworks, featured in both the Permanent Collection and the Temporary Exhibition galleries. The themes and activities of these programs, along with those of the movie center, café, Museum store and mobile Museum, vary in conjunction with every new exhibition.

Built in the 11th century and decorated in the 14th, the Church of St. Savior in Chora (formerly the Kariye Camii and now the Kariye Müzesi) in Istanbul contains one of the best-preserved collections of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes anywhere.

14:00 – 16:30 Grand Bazaar:
In operation since the 14th century, the Grand Bazaar is one of the world’s largest covered markets, with 58 streets and over 4,000 shops. The bazaar is specially known for its jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and carpets.
